Bakhtiar rugs are known for their decoration with motifs depicting garden scenes. The figure of the medallion also appears in the centre of many of them. Bakthiar is set in a raised area, giving its wool an exquisite almost silky quality. These rugs are among the most collected in the Persian world.

Being made of wool, it is a natural dirt repellent, has good fire resistance and maintains its shape very well over time.
